These were really the thing in my area for certain people of a certain demographic who may or may not have had a lot of work done. Then came the designer SUV. I wonder what percentage sits on original wheels, and I think they came with a cassette deck til the end.

I don’t get the people who trash the looks of this car. VW always thought they look really good

One of my favorite cars for many reasons!!!
I want a last model year with the multi-spoke wheels in Matador Red

Those wheels are so good.

In my 4 years as a tech at Lexus, these hardly ever had any faults. I honestly can’t remember any issues for these. All just normal wear items. Those engines if maintained will easily go over half a million miles. You can adjust the suspension and even tighten/loosen the steering rack. With a good set of Michelin PS Cups and a good aftermarket intake (induction noise is magical), I would be set! I’ll keep that paint perfect and rolling rad!

Problem is they’re still fairly expensive, in spite of the poor reception by “enthusiasts” and the fact that is an oddball Lexus hardtop.

I loath car enthusiasts, yeah I said it, fuck them all and their idiot views on honestly liking cars and motoring.
Lol also, freakin ALL Toyota products are pricey no matter the mileage and age. The reasons for this are obvious the intelligent car fans, but still not enough to convince my microscopic wallet

Personally, I think Toyota products are for weirdos.

When placing them as the entire brand’s lineup, no brand is safe from weirdos. When saying Toyota, Nissan, Volvo, Audi or any other’s model range that only consists of their enthusiast-y vehicles, a different mindset is placed imo. If THAT specific set of a brand’s vehicles still seems like something weirdos buy, well, I want to be their king!

I was going for a self-deprecating joke, as every vehicle I own is a Toyota product :|

I like Lexus, and I like jelly beams (except black-licorice ones, and those weird “any flavor” joke ones).
I don’t like them together.
Therefore I don’t like the SC430.
The SC300 or whatever it was that was the nicer version of the Supra was pretty cool though.

Drove one of these recently. The V8 pulled off some sweet donuts but that transmission hinders the fun of spirited driving imo

I think Lexus made it too be a lazy crusier, not high strung sports car.

Yeah I get that it’s a luxury grand tourer but i still expect a car like that to acquit itself well on a backroad like an SL
